Letters of Testimony and References
My name is Jim Taubert and I am a veteran football coach, having worked on all levels of football including High School, professional, and college. In my career as a player a coach I was able to develop my skills at a very high level of competition and have had the opportunity to play and work alongside some of the best coaches in the profession. Having observed these coaches I have learned a great deal about what it takes to be associated with any level and position in all levels of football .It is because of these experiences that I believe I am capable of distinguishing what characteristics one needs to be capable of developing and administering their duties in a professional football league.
This past summer I contacted a man by the name of Mike Greer , He expressed to me his desires and dreams of helping young men and coaches to develop the skills needed to make it to the NFL. He also noted that many of these people young people do not get exposure and enough discipline in the game of football to eventually get an opportunity.
He did not have to convince me of this need for such a program, I have always thought a league to be run in the spring was needed and this was the right time and place.
Since August 1, 2009 I have worked with Mike at combines for just such a league in Deland, Florida, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Dallas Texas. I have found Mikes abilities to be unsurpassed in the organization and administration of these. He has proven to be dependable, responsible, and of great character. The players and coaches immediately responded to his instructions, as he ran the combines in a professional way. No player or coach left the combine without any doubt that the program was organized and ran professionally.
-Jim Taubert, Coach
For the last several years, I have been a football coach, as well as a mentor to many young men who want to succeed in life. I hope my perspective will be helpful to you as you evaluate this exceptional candidate.
My first contact with Michael Greer was with the National Indoor Football League. He was coaching with us and displayed an incredible sense of organizational, leadership, and a coaching style that was respected amongst the coaching staff as well as the owners of the league. The players adored him as he took the time to assist them with meeting their goals, developed them into the next level, and prepared them for life outside of football.
During the time I have known Michael Greer, he has distinguished himself as a conscientious and energetic pioneer in the fields of leadership, management, and coaching. I have enormous respect for his management and leadership skills, as he has proven this over many times.
I urge you to carefully consider Michael Greer who is, quite simply, the most remarkable leader I have ever met.
-Anthony Galloway, Coach
It does not happen very often in sports that you find a person that has the combination of knowledge, insight and passion to go along with the people skills necessary to work with all levels of ability and personalities. Michael Greer is that person.
With 33 years of coaching experience ranging from NCAA I, Junior College and four professional football leagues where I earned championship rings, I have had the opportunity to work with and observe some of the best teachers in our business. Coach Greer is among the best. He displays compassion along with integrity and works tirelessly to get the most out of each person he comes in contact with. He ensures that everyone he is around feels special and has the knowledge necessary to think “outside the box”. A quote by a former NFL Head Coach that would describe Coach Greer is: “I don’t know how many others there are like him, but it is a short roll call”.
